This time, my inspiration for new felting experiments were peacocks in my town, presenting their tails so proudly, so often.
A necklace in vivid colors reminds me of eyes of a peacock's tail.
I felted a rope from merino wool. Not just any rope. It was quite a challenge to arrange all layers in different shades to achieve this effect. And I love the combination of sky blue, turquoise, sapphire, navy blue and ivory. As you can see, I cutted the felted rope in slices and with a waxed cotton string, I made a triple raw jewelery piece. Merino wool is really soft next to the skin and wearing it even on your neck doesn't cause any allergies or skin irrigation.
I'm proud of the result, proud as a peacock.
And another go at sliced rope necklaces: inspired by poppies, red and black.
It's just an idea for a present. Start felting, necklaces, braceletes, earings or brooches...
there are only 21 more chocolates in your Christmas calender.
