hand felted brooches for Christmas - why not? - handmade wet felted flowers

I was home for Christmas, 
however, sitting now next to my very own Christmas tree in my very own house, feels like home to me.

Here are some flowers Santa Clause of mine has brouhgt this year:

poppies in all tones of red

like colors of rainbow ... a flower in grayish blue for someone who doesn't necessarily like red ... bluish for someone who seemed to prefer wearing blue - this Christmas, however, proved my theory wrong ... black with just a touch of gray for someone I don't know that much yet ... black with bright orange for someone wearing brave color combinations and looking good in them ... coffee brown for someone in the coffee business and wearing shades of brown most of the time ... grey ...

... grey is for me

All flowers are made of merino wool with just a bit of silk, bamboo or linen for the extra shine, all of them finished with beads in different colors and shape. Merino wool is very fine and petals made of it are thin and fragile like real flowers. I form them in different ways before drying, usually using wine glasses to hold the wanted shape.

Hopefully the new owners will really enjoy wearing these hand felted wool flowers, just as I do ... with a dress, a coat or a shawl ...
