A wet felted bag with maple leaves and September inspirations handmade

I had a plan to felt a bag in colors different than usually, something not for a blonde. 

Looking at my garden in September - fall  just started to paint leaves - it was the only palette of colors to choose. I was suprised myself, how beautiful these shades of green, gold, brown and especially foxy red and orange can work together. I played mother nature mixing merino wool and the result you can see for youself: 

I used natural wool in braun and grey color as a base of my bag, but the maple leaves on the bag and brooch are made of merino wool and silk.

That glittery shine on maple leaves comes from silk and tiny orange but transparent beads I added. They catch the light beautifully and make the colors even brighter.

The brooch can be worn with the bag or separately - I like to wear wool brooches on my coat, but it could be a sweather or a hat as well.

The bag is seamless, I made the cotton lining in natural ivory color with two pockets - one zipped and  I closed it with a magnetic lock.

I was proud  of my maple leaves so much, that I made another set of leaves as a brooch and a colorfull rope to go with it.

The same set of colors, mixed differently with the hand of mother nature - autumn shades of delicate merino wool. 

You can wear it in many different ways,

 as a neclace or as a belt around your waist .

 with the maple leaves brooch or separetly.

 It can depend on your mood or your imagination wich option you choose each day.

Because there was more wool where this  came from, autumn will be back in my craftwork.
