Handfelted shoulder bag with a turquoise tree - handmade, wet felted

If looking at my posts so far you got an impression that shades of broun, red, orange, yellow and green are my usual choices of colors, here is a shoulder bag with a turquoise tree - just to prove you wrong.

Felted by the end of this summer while I was enjoying the lake and the forest of  Polish Mazury, it was completed after I got back home in September.

The bag is made of Polish wool in an interesting, deep color called petrol.

For the leaves, however, I used a piece of prefelt - a result of my previous experiment with mixing merino wool and silk in tones of turquoise, sky-blue and lagoon. 

I also wet felted a turquoise flower matching the bag in colors - 

but this time, the brooch is not ment to be worn on the bag.
