... pillows felt like the right choice.
I painted a picture of poppy flowers with some fine merino wool in the shades of ivory, blue, green and red - with just a touch of silk. I wet felted it and then I used some irregular machine stiches to imitate blades of grass and leaves and for the original texture effect.
The pillow looks romantic because of the landscape. It's very soft because of the merino wool I used. However, it is really durable because I nunofelted wool on some cotton fabric for extra strength.
When it comes to pillows, I always get a bit sentimental. These two - on the pictures above and below - belong to me but they were made by my Grandma - who had great influence on me, who actually introduced me to craftwork (or maybe it was the other way around) ages ago.
