hand felted shawl and beret in tones of blue

This season I like wearing all shades of blue and grey.

The shawl in shades of sky-blue to navy I hand felted a while ago. It's made of pure delikate merino wool and looks just like the white shawl I've already described in one of my previous posts. In this case, however, I used also some recycled silk - coming from my blouse - to make the shawl even softer in the contact with the skin of my neck and face. The silk is nunofelted on the inside of the shawl, but sometimes it is visible - depending on the way, I wear it. A piece of silk makes a decoration on the outside as well.

The beret matching the shawl, I made while winter started to feel colder. It's made of merino of course, with pieces of same recycled silk in tones of blue, navy, silver and goldish on the inside - just to improve the comfort. I used tiny bits of silk material to decorate the beret.

I wear the shawl with my favourite coat, wrapped around my neck, usually pinned with a decorative, but not exposed pin.
