white cobweb lampshade with poppies - handmade, wet felted

I used cobweb to make a very unique lampshade.

It is my new experiment. Very promising. 

The cobweb breaks the light beautifully. Looks even better inside, with the lights on and mistirious reflexes all over the walls

Feltmakers usually use cobweb to felt scarves and shawls. 

But there is so much more to this consept. So many possibilities. 

White wool spread to a cobweb, wet felted carefully.

I love the result, now I'm looking for more recycled lamps and lampshades I could use for my experiments.
