poppies and forget-me-nots, wool coasters wet felted

I like natural surface of tables made of wood. 

I never - almost never - cover it with table cloth. 

Still some occasions call for some extra attention and in such cases nice coasters come to the rescue.

Why not wet felt wool coasters?

I made two sets of coasters. 

The poppies made of merino wool in a very rich red color with just a touch of silk include one bigger flower and four smaller pieces.

All flowers are felted of four layers of wool to make them thick enough,

 wet felted in a very long process to make sure they are strong and durable. 

Forget-me-nots

Four small flowers and two bigger ones make the sky blue set of coasters.

I set the table to have my morning coffee and it makes my day.

Or even better, I have my coffee with a friend ...
